Topics

  • Definitions : business system, information system, system analysis
  • Introduction to data bases
  • Components of a data base (tables, columns, queries, forms, reports)
  • Conceptual data models : entity-relationship model (ERD)
  • Transform text and forms into ERD
  • Transform conceptual into technical data models
  • Normalization ( until 3th normal form)
  • Implementation into a relational database system : Access
All topics are intensively illustrated with examples and practiced under supervision.
