Key words
Analytical chemistry: instrumental methods

Objectives
Theoretic courses:
1 Instrumental Analytical Chemistry:
to get to know the base concepts and theoretical background of the most important instrumental techniques in this speciality
2 Automatisation in the clinical laboratory:
to learn the general concepts of equipment that enables the processing of a big amount of tests and monsters.(This is a theoretical introduction to the internship of the 3th grade students)
Excercises for laboratories of instrumental analysis:
- the operation of the most important instruments will be tested with adapted analytical methods.
- the attention will be also focused on process the results of the analysis and on writing a scientifical report.

Prerequisites

Topics
Theoretic courses:
1 Instrumental Analytical Chemistry:
- conductometrics and potentiometrics, with special attention on the ion-selection electrodes, will be discussed during the electrochemical analysis methods - UV-VIS spectrofotmetrics, UV-VIS fluorescentiespectrometrics and nefelometrics are the most important optical methods.
2 Automatisation in the clinical laboratory:
- the basic concepts of automatisation in the clinical-chemical lab, hematology, bacteriology and immuno-assay will be explaind, with a special focus on automatisation
Excercises for laboratories of instrumental analysis:
- special excercises on working with a conductometer, pH-meter, ionselective electrodes, UV-VIS spectrofotometer, AAS, pulse polarograf.
