Key words statistics I
Objectives This is a traditional statistics course. We start from the first principles of probability theory and finish with the traditional testing of hypotheses.
Prerequisites The student is expected to have a thorough knowledge of the calculus of one variable. We also expect that the maximalisation techniques in two or more variables are well known and that integration of continuous functions of two or more variables is also a basic skill. These subjects are taught in the courses of mathematics in the first and second year.

The concept of probability
Conditional probability
Stochastistic variables
