Objectives The students are able to apply techniques and strategies for an effective communication. They learn and train the characteristics of different oral communicative skills. They can handle instruments to evaluate oral business communication.
Prerequisites Knowledge of Dutch as a native language (high school level
Topics Basic skills:-
strategic level: insight in identity and position of speaker and hearer-
psychological level: asking and listening, intercourse with emotions, objections and criticism -
verbal level: correct and adjusted usage-
non-verbal level: body language, vocalism, audio-visual aids-
Communication forms:-
unilateral: the presentation: persuasive presentations for different purposive groups-
bilateral: the conversation: bad news talks, application talks-
multilateral: the meeting: decision meetings, negotiation meetings
