Objectives
The course wants students to reflect on ethical questions surrounding business.

Topics
The questions considered can be catologued under three headings. Problems arising on the individual level. Has business a code of individual ethics that is different than the one of common life ? Does insertion in a hierarchical structure affect indiviual responsibility? Secondly, there are questions about business as a factor in society. Is business responsibility limited to the production of goods and the provision of services at a competitive price ? What about the idea of corporate responsibility ? Thirdly, there are questions about the market economy itself. Can all goods be mediated by the market or are there limits to its operation? Can there be justice in remuneration.
