Objectives
In every organisation the central point of an information system is a database : a set of related tables, controlled buysophisticated system software (DBMS); Every manager must u nderstand the (main) datastructure of this database in orderto retrieve information efficiently (by using a query likeSQL), to make some analyse, to make some good prognoses.
Prerequisites
Beside the basics of Windows GUI, we understand some computer architecture like PC, LAN and client-server.
Topics
The leading DBMS on the desktop is Access 2000: studying some sample applications, made in Accesss, is a good starting point.
