We have seen only the beginnings of anxiety, gains and losses that many people will experience as our world shifts to this highly
technical planetary economy.
This course provides an introduction to the fast-forwarded technical revolution, as well as to the slowly turning beneath
changes, which is commonly referred to as “The New Economy”, driven by new means of communication, globalisation,
immaterialisation and the growing force of networks..
Prerequisites The student should be acquainted with Windows, Mac or Unix.

Teaching Methods Part I: Lectures and individual exercises. Part II: Lectures, team
discussions, and presentations based on reading materials.

Assessment Part I: Using an existing web page as a basis the student will configure
a small page of his own and present it and comment on it during an
exam.
Part II: Participation in the team discussions and presentations,
plus a written exam.
