Objectives
The course provides a basic inside in the modelling and measuring of processes. Practical insight is gained through case studies of thermal, pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems. The link with the computertechnology is explained. The student learns the mathematical techniques for the systemanalysis in the time and frequencydomain.

Prerequisites
First cycle.

Topics
Fundamentals of modelling and measuring.

Laplacetransformation - Definitions, properties, transformationrules and the inverse transformation.

Transferfunction, blockdiagrams and signal flow graphs.
Definitions, properties, transformationrules and practical examples.

Graphical representations in the frequency domain.

Frequency analysis: Fourier decomposition, Fourier transformation, Fast Fourier Transformation, Spectrumanalysis.

Teaching Methods
The theoretical lectures are given on the base of one hour/week.
