Objectives

To learn the necessary insight in the wide domain of electrical
measurements, concerning the action of electrical measure instruments,
measure methods and circuits, for the measurements of classical electrical
magnitudes in the DC and low frequency domain.
To learn the principles of electronic and digital measure instruments.
To apply the principles of the measurements of magnitudes in the lighting
technology.

Prerequisites

The knowledge of the basic course "Electricity" of the first year is
necessary.

Topics

Measurements, Measure-errors.
Measure instruments: analog and digital instruments, scopes, memory scopes,
plotters.
Measure methods: auxiliary equipments and power supplies; accurate
measurements of voltages and currents; power and energy measurements;
measurements of resistances and impedances; measurements of earth
resistances; tracing defects in cables; measurements on lamps and
light-fittings; the study of measure sensors; the treatment of the results
of measurements.
