To gain knowledge and insight which will be used as a basis for the guidance of learning, development and educational processes within the teaching community.

Topics
- a short introduction to general didactics;
- the organisation of education in Flanders;
- a brief explanation of the object and methods of psychology, followed by a treatment of some relevant psychological currents;
- discussion of learning processes and intelligence;
- development psychology;
- social psychology.
Teaching Methods
Varied forms of working : teaching, educational conversation, teamwork, coached independent work, etc.
Materials used
Common course "Psychopedagogics", book: "De levensloop van de mens" Craeynest Pol, Acco 1995, occasionally supplementary texts, student's own notes.
Study guidance
On his/her own initiative, a student explains his/her learning problem in connection with the training part concerned to his/her lecturer, who will properly coach him/her.
Assessment
Written examination.
