Objectives The students are able to reflect on reading and writing strategies, gain insight into the reading and writing processes and concretise such insights in learning contents for primary education. They are able lo learn pupils to deal with sundry kinds of texts, written for different purposes, for a different public and to pass insights in connection with youth literature on to the pupils. They are also able to pass on different kinds of information in a comprehensible way and handle and teach the proper conventions regarding the use of language.
Prerequisites No specific prerequisites.
Topics Didactics: development of communicative competence, initial reading and writing, advanced reading and writing, reading promotion and spelling. Additional exercises regarding spelling, syntax, vocabulary and applied linguistics.
Teaching Methods Class instruction and exercises. Teamwork. Self-tuition and individual tasks. Discussion of video and demonstration lessons.
