Objectives
The student gets a clear view on the different fields of activity in the sector of social work. He gets to know the specifics of individual social casework, socio-cultural work, working in the personnel departement or as a social adviser. The course emphasizes strongly on a practical approach of the study material.

Topics
Through supervision the student forms a picture of the different sectors of social work. This has to enable the student to make a conscious choice for the practice in his second year of college. He has to be able to reflect upon his own social skills and attitudes as a future social worker. One of the priorities in this context is the development of a broad vision with regard to social problems.
