Objectives
The objectives are dual. Firstly teaching of mathematical concepts in support of other courses. Secondly, introducing l ogical reasening techniques concerning problemdefinition, problemanalysis and problemsolving.


Prerequisites
Addition, multiplication and power of real numbers, special products and linear equations.

  1. Co-ordinate geometry
    Vectors, co-ordinates, equation of a straight line, condition for perpendicularity, distance of a point from a line
  2. Algebra
    (in)equations in 1 variable, systems of linear (in)equations
  3. Trigonometry
    Trigonometrical numbers, trigonometrical functions, solving triangles
  4. Statistics
    Frequency, mean value, deviation
    Binomial distribution, normal distribution
