This course gives a survey of the most frequently used harvesting machines.


Topics
The course gives a detailed description of the construction and operation of the most frequently used harvesting machines.
The treated machines are : Threshing machines (combines), corn and field choppers, corn and bean harvesters, potato and sugar beet harvesters, hay making machines (rotary mowers, conditioners, hay tedders, hay rakes), round- and big balers.
During the exercises the students visit several manufacturers of harvesting equipment.
