Objectives
This course mainly consists of an introduction to macroeconomics while the course "Economie I" is an introduction to microeconomics. Next to a general introduction in macroeconomics, the course also tackles some specific topics : (un) employment and government accounts. Ultimately, the goal is to offer a framework that can be used by students to get a better understanding of and critical view on the economic reality.
Topics
The major macroeconomic aggregates (concept, definition, figures), the goods-market and financial market, the labor market, IS-LM, aggregate demand and supply.
