Objectives The students should be able to write an essay, give a presentation and take part in a debate on the major European Union policies, and prove that they can do this by using the appropriate terminology. They should also be able to take part in a 'business meeting'
Topics - Academic contributions and journalistic articles on the EU policies.

Prerequisites The knowledge and skills acquired in English I, II, III, IV.

Teaching Methods - Preparing students to conduct and take part in a 'business' meeting.
- Students write a summary of academic and journalistic texts on EU policies.
- Students give a presentation (in small groups) and conduct a debate on an EU policy.
Assessment - Assessment of written skills: writing a summary and writing an essay.
- Assessment of oral skills: giving a presentation and conducting and taking part in a meeting.
