Objectives
The course confronts the students with problems arising in the deployment and management of the IT-function and trains them in formulating the right answers and developing an own point of view on Information Resource Management.

This course offers a survey of information technology (IT) management activities in business organisations.
This comprises subjects like:
- The importance of information management for several types of business organisations and the influence of IT on business policy
- The role of the different players in IT-management
- The organisation of the IT-function: system development, exploitation, technical support and user support
- Quality control

- Innovation management
- Risk management

- Function Point Analysis

- ITIL


Prerequisites
The theoretical part of the courses "Computergebruik" (first year) and "Informatica" (second year) of the degree program.
