The course covers the following topics :
Why PLC , software versus hardware, advantages and disadvantages, function,
programming, components, safeties, supply and communication
Integration into eletrical circuits, realisation and test, diagnose and
tracing faults
Discussion of a simple sceme, examination exercises
Normal function versus side conditions, emergency stop, safeties, ...
Small projects
Evaluation of projects.
Prerequisites
:
Basic knowledgment of digital techniques
To be able to apply the CAD course and the electrical projects

theory : the seminars students will be taught by means of lectures,
exercises and examples
Seminars : exercices, assigments seminars
Assessment

Seminars are adjudged by means of permanent evaluation and reports
Study cost : a course cost about 300 BF
Advise : Thorough preparation (previous and at home) of the assigments is
necessary
Both the CAD - course and the electricity projects are considered to be
actual knowledge.
