Objectives
- The student is familiar with and can use insurance and financial terminology both orally and in writing.
- He develops communication skills (oral and written) and contact readiness.
- He can follow an oral discourse, take notes independently and ask questions, showing a critical attitude.
Topics Thematically built course including the following topics and skills:- English insurance and finance terminology
- Communication skills: written (drafting concise letters) and oral (conversations, telephone dialogues, …)
Prerequisites 1. Required: Basic proficiency in the four language skills - lower intermediate level;
2. Recommended: Elementary business vocabulary and communication techniques.
Final Objectives
Materials used Syllabus compiled by lecturer.
Study costs Current price per photocopy as set by the 'Hogeschool' (about 125 pages).
Study guidance Students' progress is closely monitored and individual problems are remedied.

- Question-answer method and integrated exercises, both oral and written.
- Self-study (preparation of topics to be dealt with or assignments set)
