Objectives
This course is a follow-up course of the first year course. The aim for the students is to acquire an insight into the functioning and the mechanism of a few special machines. Furthermore they have to be capable of deducting the application and possibilities of each machine. They have to be capable of preparing the machine for a definite kind of fabric and hem or ream and a definite application. A lot of attention is paid to accuracy and the development of a certain feeling for the adjustment of these machines.

* Chainstitchmacines: machine for sewing buttons, hemmingmachine, chainstitch seamer with puller feed, waistbandmachine, buttonhole sewingmachine
* Zigzag lockstitch: zigzag lockstitch machine, lockstitch bartacker, buttonhole sewing machine
* Machines for sewing knittings: fourthreads overedge stitch, coveringstitches.
* Machines for ironing, engines for sewingmachines.
Prerequisites
A good knowledge of the machines studied in the first year is sufficient.
