Today everybody uses psychological concepts. Unfortunately this also means that these concepts don't make much sense any longer. So the first aim is to restore some of the fundamental concepts of psychology in their original, rather limited sense and effectivity
First of all this should contribute to general cultural education
culturele vorming.
Secondly it lays the foundation for the applications of psychology in other courses like 'Human Resource Management' (second year)

Definition of psychology compared with other human sciences.
Review of the most important 'schools' of psychological thought: behaviourism, genetical psychology, Gestaltpsychology, humanistic psychology, social psychology, and also a confrontation with psychiatric thinking.
Freudian psychoanalysis allows a critical judgment of all these psychological schools. In psychoanalysis the emphasis is on the importance of language for the constitution of 'man' and his 'soul'.
