Objectives
To acquire on botanical characteristics, cultivation techniques, production and use of the main industrial crops in agricultural and horticulture


Topics
Cultivations: sugar beets, patatoes, flax (fiber and oil flax), dry peas, field beans, chicory (inulin), hop tabacco, cole-seed, enbergy crops (base of biolfuels), the cultivation of mushrooms and the vegetables: leek, asparagus, chicory (root and crop cultivation) and cabbages.
Each cultivation will be discussed regarding use, diseases and plagues, cultivation techniques, crop protection. The student will receive sufficient information on the basis of course notes, professional literature, documentation and field visits. Subsequent some recent topics regarding results of applied research will be analysed.
