Objectives
To give insight in the basic physiological processes of plant production and growth and the fundamental principles of plant production systems. Crop husbandry methods are discussed and related to physiological plant processes.

Ecophysiological parameters, crop yield, crop production systems, germination process, tillage systems, crop rotation, plant growth and development.

Prerequisites
A basic knowledge of plant anatomy and physiology

Final Objectives
The students are able to optimalise quantitative and qualitative the crop yield keeping the biotic and abiotic characteristics of the production system in mind.
