To gain insight in the formulation, biological activity and registration/registration of pesticides. Also the chemical risks (residues) and the environmental pollution of the use of pesticides are discussed. The exercises have following objectives:
- To make students familiar with the use of pesticides
- the basic knowledge about analysing residues in food.

Insecticides, fungicides, herbicides, residues tolerances in food, chemical risks, formulation, analysis techniques, development of pesticides.

Final Objectives
The students are able to apply the different products and methods in crop protection systems keeping the fytofarmaceutical en environmental gardlines in mind.
