Objectives
The course bring insight in life cycle and development of common diseases and pests in agri- and horticulture, and in the most important methods of pest and disease control . The exercises have following objectives:
  • To recognise and identify the most important disease and pest organisms
  • Management and control of concepts of diseases and pests


Topics
Pest and disease cycles; epidemiology, management and control of plant pests and diseases, evaluation and scoring techniques of diseases and pests, biological and integrated control of pests and diseases.

Prerequisites
A basic knowledge of plant and insect anatomy and fysiology

Final Objectives
After taken the course the students are able to develop independently crop protection systems.
