Objectives
Learn advanced methodes of processing to complete the assignments in the current or future work situation of the student with Arc-Gis 8.0.

Topics
This training is built on the acquired knowledge from the course GIS I. This second course contains the teaching of advanced methodes to start a project. The basic skills (input of data, georeferencing, 3Danalysis)can be applied in a project of a realistic case. We start with the case during the course and is settled in the fase of layout. They work as a team to make an inventory, to process the data and to analyse the data. The students have to present there result to a jury or a district council.

Prerequisites
Have a thorough command of the basic skills to start a project in Arc-Gis 8.0.

Final Objectives
The cursist can start independently an Arc-Gis 8.0 project. This contains the set-up and structure of a database, linked to a number of geographical layers. Have the knowlegde to create thematic cards from different angles. Be able to import data into the Arc-Gis 8.0 interface by means of a wide offer of information sources (images - lines - data). The student can use the technique to cluster the results of the investigation and the student can present this with a poster, a presentation of an animation.
