The course wants to get students to think about central quetions in political philosophy. What is the source of legitimacy of the state? What are the proper limits. of government intervention? What is the value of majority rule? What is the basis of the right to property?
Topics
The point of reference is the present constitution of Western states, with its emphasis on individual freedom, on democracy and on redistribution.
