Objectives
Further development and acquisition of essential speaking, writing, reading and listening capabilities that are necessary to function in everyday as well as in professional situations.
Topics
1. Further development of the grammatical structures of German sentences (main and dubordinate clauses) with an emphasis between Dutch and German.
2. Knowledge of people and country : structure of the state and constitutional institutions of Germany, among others.
3. Extension of large vocabulary (both actively and passively) in general and with respect to politics and economics in particular.
4. Further development of abilities to speak (e.g. telephone calls, presentation) and write (introduction into business correspondence, written summaries and/or adaptations of German publications concerning the political, social and economic environment).
Prerequisites
- German, as developed in the previous years;
- course focussed on native speakers of Dutch.

- vocabulary lists (German - Dutch);
- materials for dialogues.

Teaching Methods
- interactive teaching (with emphasis on participation of the students);
- emphasis on regular and profound study and exercise;
- increasing autonomy for assignments.
Assessment
- periodic written and oral tests, written and oral assignments (permenant evaluation);
- written examination.
