Objectives
The course aims at making students familiar with the interplay between economic theory and development on the one hand and environmental issues on the other hand. The information is applied to and provided such that business applicability is straightforward.

Topics
First, a general introduction about environmental economics (market failure, externalities,...) Second, a specific topic is chosen in the context of business economics and the environment : environmental management accounting. Third, case studies to apply environmental economics and management accounting in Flanders.


Prerequisites
Students should have had an introductory course in economics.
