Objectives
Condolidation and further extension of the vocabulary and the mastery of the German language by means of exercises in speaking, writing, reading and listening capabilities. The aim is to acquire good communication skills in German, especially in professional (business) situations.


Topics
1. Extension of vocabulary, dialogues and "building blocks" for conversations with an emphasis on the commercial usage of the German language.
2. Business correspondance and business telephone calls.
3. Writing and presentation of a papar (report) related to a timely subject in the German business or economics press or literature.
4. Consolidation and extension of acquired grammar and orthography with exercises.
5. Knowledge of people and country (occasionally and related to the course).


Prerequisites
German, as developed in the previous years.
Foreign students should have basic knowledge of Dutch.

- vocabulary lists;
- further information from various sources;
2. package for self-study:
- vocabulary lists in teacher's course book;
- exercises on computer (ScaLa-software ).
