Objectives The students are able to reflect on the use of language, linguistic systematics, listening and speaking strategies and to concretise the insight in connection therewith in learning contents for primary education. They are able to take care of their own written and oral use of language and to explain their main grammatical and spelling mistakes. They are able to gain insight into the Dutch syntax, vocabulary, pronunciation and means of expression.
Topics Vision on language and language teaching. Pronunciation, spelling, syntax, vocabulary. Initiation into teaching methodology. Subject-oriented magazine articles. Listening and speaking didactics.
Prerequisites A sound knowledge of the different aspects of use of the spoken and written language and a better insight into the linguistic systematics of the Dutch language.
