Key words philosophy
Objectives Philosophy is love for wisdom. To become wise is a learning proces which needs special attention, because of different reeasons. Philosophy looks for the ground of our time and our own thinking. Everybody is confronted with philosophical questions, ethical dilemmas and questions about the meaning of life. Philosophers can be an inspiration. Thinking about these questions broadens our perspective as human being and educationalist. It learns to tackle the questions life puts on us and helps us to relativate those problems.
Topics The course starts with a short historical overview of western philosophy.
From this, different theme's are selected, which are interesting for educationalists. The elaboration of these themes happens through confrontation with different visions of different philosophers.
