Key words Civil design; Spatial Planning
Objectives Partim I : Civil Design Integrate technical solutions and methods of the different skill disciplines such as material knowledge, building construction in order to analyse and solve construction problems.
Partim II : Land Surveying Integrate technical solutions and methods of the different skill disciplines such as road and waterway, material knowledge, building construction in order to analyse and solve construction problems.
Partim III : Spatial Planning
Analyses and study of existing spatial problems and/or problematic spatial patterns in order to come to a possible approach which will improve and reveal the spatial qualities of the chosen site.
Topics Partim I : Civil Design Complete design of single private house:
- Design plans
- Detail plans
- Execution plans
- Description
- Costprice calculation
Partim II : Land Surveying Complete design of:
- Design plans
- Detail plans
- Execution plans
- Description
- Costprice calculation
Partim III : Spatial Planning - Study and analyses of a spatial topic and/or problem.
- Design proposal for the chosen site.
Prerequisites Partim I : Civil Design Syllabus ‘Bouwmaterialen’ and ‘Constructie van gebouwen’.
Knowledge of CAD.
Partim II : Land Surveying Syllabus ‘Bruggen en Wegen’, ‘Bouwmaterialen’ and ‘Constructie van gebouwen’.
Knowledge of CAD.
Partim III: Spatial Planning Knowledge of CAD.
Final Objectives Partim I : Civil Design The student must be able to think and solve construction problems and must be able to a make a complete design of a private house.
Partim II : Land Surveying The student must be able to think and solve construction problems and must be able to a make a complete design of a private house.
Partim III : Spatial Planning During the different assignments the students will be encouraged to think both constructively and critically about a given spatial topic.
Materials used PC + software
Study costs Costs to make copies and plots.
Study guidance Partim Civil Design and Land Surveying :
Personal contact with the teacher.
The teacher is available to answer questions of the students.
Possibly an appointment can be made.
Partim Spatial Planning :
Students can discus their ideas and concerns during the scheduled time.
It is also possible to arrange extra appointments on request of the students.
Teaching Methods Partim Civil Design and Land Surveying :
Excercises
Partim Land Surveying :
Assignments
Assessment 1. assignments: 100%
2.Permanent evaluation.
The success of an assignment is the product of teamwork.
The commitment of each member is important.
The assignments will be presented at the end of the semester.
However, if a student gains a score of 7 or less on 20 on one of the different courses (parts of training items), he proves that his skill for certain subcompetencies is insufficient. Consequently, one can turn from the arithmetical calculation of the final assignment of quotas of a training item and the new marks can be awarded on consensus. Of course the examiners can judge that the arithmetic regulations mentioned in the study index card can also be used for 7 or less. For each deviation a detailed motivation ought to be drawn up. In that case one should point out that the skill for this subcompetency is proven to be insufficient, if the student didn’t pass the partim that is considered to be important for certain subcompetencies.
