Objectives
The course wants to make students familiar with basic concepts and simultaneously provide a general understanding of all aspects of logistics management.
Trade and industry pay ever more attention to rationalising flows of goods within and without the company.
Students will be able to trace the logistics chain (from supplier to customer) and recognize its phases (supply chain, materials handling, physical distribution).
Issues of physical distribution are analysed and placed within the larger frame of logistics management.
Students must be able to get the right quantity of goods to the right place at the right time at minimum cost.
