Objectives
In this course, you consolidate and expand your active command of German. You lay the groundwork for 'later' and for German II and III., where professional communication is even more prominent.
Communication in one's mother tongue as well as in foreign languages is important for a shipper. So the command of languages is strongly stressed in the entire training.

Topics
The course evolves in a linear way.

1. German language course
        1.1. vocabulary: everyday language (Zertifikat Deutsch als Fremdsprache)
        1.2. grammar: elementary rules needed for correct expression
  • case
  • using and declining the article
  • verbs: present, past, perfect
  • adjective: declination
  • prepositions with A, D, G
  • pronouns
        1.3. elementary communicative functions: introducing oneself, saying goodbye, thanking, apologising

2. Landeskunde
        2.1. the location of German-speaking countries
        2.2. the Bundesländer before and after 03.10.1990

Prerequisites
  • a good command of Dutch
  • ability to perceive grammatical structure
