Objectives


Topics
To study the biological basis of human behavior, we start from the bio-psycho-social model. The first part deals with basic genetics and genetic counseling. The second part deals with neuro-anatomy, neurophysiology and neuropathology. The link between the psychosocial and ethical problems/consequences of the biological basis of human behavior and the task of the social worker will be stressed.

Final Objectives
Students:
- indicate precisely the importance of a multidimensional approach of human behavior;
- define correctly the biological lexicon;
- apply critically the psychosocial and/or ethical implications of disorders
- explain accurately the function of the social worker within the genetic counseling and psychosocial counseling.
