Objectives The course English pays attention to aspects of oral communication as well as written communication. You must realise that in the business world it is a necessity to be able to communicate successfully in English. That is why you must be able to understand and interpret a written or oral text. For the same reason you should also be able to put a message correctly into words.
Topics 1. Grammar: systematic and remediating
2. Vocabulary: general, business-oriented and professional training-oriented
3. Reading-proficiency: business-oriented and/or professional training-oriented texts
4. Listening skill: business-oriented and/or professional training-oriented conversations
5. Speaking skill: pronunciation exercises, business-oriented and/or profesional training-oriented communication
6. Writing skill: spelling, translations, correspondence
Prerequisites
Final Objectives The competences at which will be worked profoundly are:
1. General skills
• You should be able to pass on information completely and unambiguously to customers and fellow workers.
• You should be able to listen attentively to what is said and askes.
• You should be able to apply the basic grammar.
2. General professional training-oriented skills
• You should be able to pass on your ideas orally in a well-thought out and structured manner.
• You should be able to converse properly.
• You should be able to ask well-thought questions.
• You should be able to understand and interpret business and professional training-oriented texts and conversations.

Teaching Methods The teaching forms are adapted to the various parts of the syllabus: learning conversations, sessions with exercises and self-assessment tests.
Outside the contact moments you have to prepare exercises.
Assessment There are two ways of evaluation:
• written tests that assess the command of the language: 30 % (during the semester)
– open and closed questions, multiple choice
• an oral exam: 70 % (during the examination period) – preparation time is provided
Second examination period: written part (30 %) + oral part (70 %)
In the second session the written and oral part will be examined on the same day.
