Objectives
- The course enables the student to practically use the acquired knowledge in the different aspects of soil science and cultivation techniques.
- The student disposes of the necessary skills to interpret and improve the different physical and chemical soil properties.
- The student is able to draw up and treat a fertilization advice, and keeps with it the soil circumstances and the law in touch.
Topics Soil composition: mineral and organic components
Soil formation (weathering, eluviation, illuviation)
Soil profile and horizons, soil classification and soil survey
Physical and chemical soil properties
Soil erosion
Soil pollution and analyses
Agricultural engineering techniques
Soil cultivation
Intake of nutrition substances
The function of different minerals, and their symptoms of lack and excess
The external and internal parameters who has an influence on the intake of nutrition substances
The law about the fertilization problematic.

Final Objectives
- The student learns the soil composition and knows how to measure it.
- He can use this knowledge to predict the value of a soil in terms of raising plants on it.
- Furthermore, he can interfere to ameliorate growing conditions.

the function of different minerals,
the external and internal parameters who has an influence on the intake of nutritious substances,
