The landscape architect can apply the different materials in his project (garden or small park).
Topics
Height measurement, topographical level instruments and their use, topographical methods of levelling, construction of flight of stairs, wooden constructions, construction of architectural ponds, types of mortar, concrete, asphalt, natural stones.
Prerequisites
The student disposes of all the final competences of 'Materials and techniques to laying-out a garden or small park 1'.
Basic knowledge of OS Windows.
Final Objectives
1. The student knows and understands all necessary theories and methods to execute height measurements of private gardens and small parks.
2. The student has the basic knowledge of designing architectural constructions in a technical manner and by aid of Autocad-software.
3. The student has insight in the diversity of all types of mortar, concrete, asphalt and natural stone, for use in garden and landscape architecture. He must be able to describe these types in a correct manner to evaluate and apply.
4. The student is able to make interpretations and manipulations of contours.
Materials used
Courses, topographical instruments, journals as 'Houtnieuws' 'Beton' 'Bouwen met baksteen' 'Deutsche Bauzeitschrift', technical reference book as 'Neufert'.
