Final Objectives Algemene wetenschappelijke competenties : AWC2
The student will be able to handle practical problems in the field of machinery and machinery components in a theoretical way. The acquired knowledge nables the student to understand the mechanical construction of a vehicle in the ield of suspension, brakes and propulsion. This enables him to make a professional approach concerning propulsion-, brake- and suspension systems.
.
Algemene Technische competenties : ATC2
The student is able to solve technical problems and interpret results on their accuracy and relevance. Based on descriptions and calculations, the student is able to make a selection of different machinery components to compose an nstallation. The student understands how automotive parts related to suspension, brakes and propulsion work and is able to diagnose the defects.
Specifieke competenties :SC1:
The student is able to design and calculate machinery components and machinery installations. The student is able to design and calculate the brakes and the suspension of a vehicle.

However, if a student gains a score of 7 or less on 20 on one of the different courses (parts of training items), he proves that his skill for certain subcompetencies is insufficient. Consequently, one can turn from the arithmetical calculation of the final assignment of quotas of a training item and the new marks can be awarded on consensus. Of course the examiners can judge that the arithmetic regulations mentioned in the study index card can also be used for 7 or less.
For each deviation a detailed motivation ought to be drawn up. In that case one should point out that the skill for this subcompetency is proven to be insufficient, if the student didn’t pass the partim that is considered to be important for certain subcompetencies.
