Objectives
The student must be able to make the link between food intake and digestion, biochemical conversions, malnutrition. Has to get insight on the nutritional value of the different nutrients. Knowledge on the new recent developments in human nutrition.

Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of the chemical structure of nutrients and of biochemical processes is a necessity.


Final Objectives
The student must be able within the framework of the physiological aspects of human nutrition, to apply basic knowledge of biology, chemistry and biochemistry. He is assumed to become a critical look on the most recent tendencies within human nutrition.
