Objectives
The students become familiar with different translation techniques and subject matters. They also learn to proceed with sense using different translation tools (CAT, electronic tools, databases).

Topics
The course is developed linearly and thematically. The students translate text of general subjects.

Prerequisites
A thorough knowledge of Spanish and English.

Final Objectives
The students can transfer an English text of general nature and a medium degree of difficulty in proper and idiomatic Spanish using the right tools.

P. Muñoz Tavira, TRANSLATION ENGLISH-SPANISH: course written by the lecturer with bibliography, theory about certain problems translating from English into Spanish, authentic English documents and translation exercises. The course is sold at the International Office.

Practicals and a task (team work).

Assessment
Exam form: permanent evaluation (1/4) + written exam (3/4). The written exam takes place after the First Semester.
