Objectives
Oral translation of English texts into Turkish.

Topics
This course aims at familiarising the students with oral translation between two foreign languages, in this case English and Turkish, at reasonably simple level.
The course will consist of:
- consecutive interpreting without notes, using texts of increasing length; the aim of this part is primarily to train the students’ memories
- consecutive interpreting with notes, with the aim of mastering note-taking technique
The course is based on economic, political and cultural themes of a general nature.

Prerequisites
Advanced level in English and Turkish..

Final Objectives
At the end of the course, the students will have a fair grasp of two consecutive interpreting techniques: consecutive interpreting with and without notes.
