Students will get know the essential strategic and operational aspects of institutional procurement of goods and services. Especially, various tools, techniques, procedures and organizational issues for optimising procurement are emphasized..

Topics
Amongst others, following procurement topics are explained: what = right product and right quality, where and who = choice of Suppliers and suppliers management, how much and when = stocks, ordering methods, costs of ordering and storage, Price = Request for proposal and proposal analysis and comparison- pricing, negotiations; how = Procurement strategy, logistics. New techniques as e-procurement will also be discussed.

Prerequisites
A Basic knowledge of marketing management eases the comprehensibility but is not a perequisite..
