The students know what immunity means.

Topics
Introduction; specific interaction between antigen and immune products; the immune products; antibodies : appearance after immune stimulation, immune memory, turnover and differences between ages; interaction between antibodies and antigens; monoclonal antibodies; HLA; bloud and its role in the immune system; the lymfocyt; the complement system.


Prerequisites
Basic knowledge of biochemistry

Final Objectives
The students are capable of gadering and applying information about the buildup and the manner of working of the immune system and the analytical uses of immunology.
They can make links between the different parts of the course.
