Objectives For English the course pays attention to aspects of oral communication as well as written communication. You must realise that in the business world it is a necessity to be able to communicate successfully in English. That is why you must be able to understand and interpret a written text and a spoken message. For the same reason you should also be able to put into words a message correctly.
German / Spanish is meant as a first introduction to the language. Attention is especially paid to aspects of oral communication, because you must realise that a basic knowledge of oral communication in German/Spanish is an additional trump card in the business world. That is why you must be able to understand and interpret a written text and a spoken message. For the same reason you should also be able to put into words a message correctly. To realise these objectives and to strengthen the international dimension of your training a language course in Germany or Spain is offered.

Theory
- Grammar: remediating
- Vocabulary: general, business-oriented and professional training-oriented
- Reading-proficiency: business-oriented and/or professional training-oriented texts
- Listening skill: business-oriented and/or professional training-oriented conversations
- Speaking skill: pronunciation exercises, passive knowledge of phonetic symbols, business-oriented communication
- Writing skill: spelling, translations, correspondence
Guided Independent Learning (GIL)
Exercises in an electronic learning environment:
- in order to brush up and deepen the knowledge of grammar and spelling;
- in order to improve your telephoning skills.
2 German or Spanish
Theory

2 German or Spanish

Study guidance - You can always report individal learning problems to the lecturer: during or after class, or by e-mail.
- For English you can support your learning process by means of an electroninc learning environment.
Teaching Methods The teaching methods are adapted to the various parts of the syllabus: learning conversations, sessions with exercises, GIL (only for English) and self-assessment tests (only for English).
Outside the contact moments (= classes) you have to prepare exercises.
Assessment 1 English (75 %)
There are two ways of evaluation:
- written tests that assess the command of the language on the basis of GIL: 30 % of the total percentage for English (during the semester),
- an oral examination: 70 % of the total percentage for English (during the examination period) - preparation time is provided.
Second examination session: written part (30 %) + oral part (70 %)
In the second examination session the written and oral part will be examined on the same day.
2 German/Spanish (25 %)
- One written marked exercise is provided in the final lesson. A written re-examination is possible during the second examination session.
- The language course abroad will be evaluated locally and a certificate will be awarded.
