Objectives
To acquire more fundamental mathematical knowledge needed for problem-solving ingeneering fields such as mechanics, electricity...

Topics
  • The first part of the course deals with solving differential equations of first and higher order. Aside classical solving methods the course treats intensively laplacetransforms. Applications demonstrate the essential link with diverse ingeneeringstechnics.
  • The second part treats series : convergence, Taylor-and Fourier-series and some of their applications.

Prerequisites
See final objectives acquired in Mathematics I and Mathematics II.

Final Objectives
  • The student should be able to apply theoretical methods of solving differential equations and series related to the previous mentioned topics, in a correct scientific manner. He should be able to explain solutions in a clear way.
  • The student should be able to analyse, solve and interpret practical problems concerning differential equations and series, related to the previous mentioned topics.
