Objectives
  • Further education in a widely used programming language(C++). Developing skills like structured thinking and critical analysing. Ability to link programming with general automatisation.
  • The ability to work with a very handy software tool with a wide set of applications.


Topics
  • Programming in C++, functions, procedures, records and strings and some applications
  • Extensive introduction to the use of Excel: absolute and Relative cell referencing, functions and copying, working with graphics, macros.


Prerequisites
Basic competences in programming with C++ and basic competences in mathematics(both first year bachelor)

Final Objectives
  • The student should be able to, after having analysed and structured some problem that lends itself to some automatisation, write a program doing the job
  • The student should be able to use a powerful and popular spreadsheet with a wide range of formatting and calculation features
