Objectives
  • Thorough knowledge of the Belgian bookkeeping law
  • Discuss the applicable IAS/IFRS standards in Belgian, in order to give the student insight in the annual statement account drawn up in compliance with these standards
  • Student has to be able to analyse, outline and interpret these standards independently
  • Student has to learn how to work independently and accurately with current software packages of the general bookkeeping
  • Being able to use the know-how of different divisions of education in an integrated case study that is exceeding the discipline

The subject matter is presented by means of exercises. These are first prepared individually and later on corrected in class.T

Students who have not passed in the first exam session, but got a score of at least 10 on 20 for one of the parts, are not obliged to redo this part in the second exam session of the same year. They, however, have to take the exam on the parts where they had less than 10 on 20, if they do not do this they are listed as being absent for the whole course.
